Terms of Service for Kepler

Last updated: December 20, 2025

1. Welcome to Kepler

Welcome to Kepler ("we," "our," or "us"). Our service is an AI-powered knowledge engine that allows you to chat with your content, turning scattered files and links into a single, verifiable source of answers (the "Service").

By creating an account or using our Service, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for safeguarding your account and for all activities that occur under it. You must provide us with accurate and complete information. You may not share your account credentials with others.

3. The Service and AI Credits

Kepler operates on a subscription model based on AI Credits.

  • How Credits Work: Your subscription plan includes a set amount of AI Credits. These credits are consumed when you perform two main actions:
    1. Ingesting Content: A one-time cost to add a new file or link to your library.
    2. Asking Questions: A cost for each query you make to the AI.
  • Credit Rates: The number of credits used may vary depending on the type of content (e.g., video vs. text) and the complexity of your questions. Specific rates are detailed on our pricing page.

4. Your Responsibilities

You agree to use our Service responsibly and legally. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Upload content that you do not have the rights to use, or that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Attempt to bypass our credit system or other Service limitations.
  • Interfere with the security or proper functioning of the Service.

5. Your Content and Data Privacy

You own the content you upload to Kepler. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and modify your content as necessary to provide the Service to you.

We will not use your content to train our AI models for other customers. We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of your data. For more details, please see our Privacy Policy.

6. Kepler's Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, branding, and original content (excluding your content), are and will remain the exclusive property of Kepler.

7. Subscriptions, Payments, and Refunds

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (e.g., monthly or annually). Payments are non-refundable.

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Your cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access to the Service until that date.

8. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is." While Kepler is designed to provide accurate, verifiable answers with citations, AI-generated output may occasionally contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for verifying the information generated by the Service before relying on it.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kepler shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
